In the Western and Rodeo world, you will find much of what made the legend of the USA. Some have already dreamed of having the style of John Wayne, others the Ingalls family's. But what is important during those three days is to be transported at the very heart of the oldest U.S. traditions, either rodeo or cattle sorting, and to walk in the heart of the various Western camps recreated for the occasion.
Equestrian track
Rodeo
In Rodeo, the rule is to stay at least 8 seconds on the back of the horse, bull or cow: a mind-blowing performance, very exhausting for the cowboys! All these dexterity and speed exercises will make you discover the skills of the best French riders, under the watchful eye of the Bull Fighters and humor of the traditional rodeo clown.
Cattle sorting demonstrations
Organized within a specially dedicated area, numerous demonstrations of cattle sorting will allow you to watch various fields of Western Riding. Take time to have a look at the great work of the riders and horses competing in the various fields of Team Penning and Ranch Sorting, and, this year, discover the particularities of Ranch Cutting.
Horse show
This year, they will take place in the rodeo track, so that you can enjoy seating and a larger capacity. You will be proposed two new shows. The first one, that mixes humour and acrobatics, will be focussing on the Cowboy spirit. The second one, more in the Amerindian spirit, will highlight all the horses' and riders' qualities through handling ability demonstrations and equestrian fantasies.
Western Village
Western Village
Horse stunts, lasso and whips acts, juggling with guns are some of the Western Village shows. Experience also the Wild West with this wide open-air museum that is also one of the most dynamic live shows of the festival.
Indian Village
Our Indian Village, it's a invitation to an unknown land... Dive into the unique atmosphere of those tribes, participate in various fun and educational activities and discover also the variety of styles of Native American dances.
